Khader Sawaed is a researcher at Mitvim Insitute. Sawaed is a PhD student at the School of Political Sciences, University of Haifa. His dissertation focuses on the differences in regime change outcomes between similar states: the cases of Egypt and Tunisia after the "Arab Spring". His research interests include contemporary Middle Eastern history, Arab politics and inter-Arab states relations, the Arab-Israeli conflict, Learning and decision-making in foreign policy, and qualitative research methods. He received his M.A degree in International Relations from the University of Haifa, writing his thesis on The Egyptian Policy toward Israel and the Learning process after the Defeat of June 1967. He is a Co-founding moderator of the Israeli Social Science PhD students' listserv; and he serves as vice-principal and evaluation coordinator at a junior-high school in Shfar'am.
