ניצן תמונה ערוכה Nitzan Horowitz is a Policy Fellow at the Mitvim Institute. He is a journalist, commentator on international affairs, and a social activist. He is a columnist for Ha'aretz newspaper. He is a former member of the Knesset, first elected on the Meretz list in 2009 and again in January 2013. He was a member of the Foreign affairs and Defense Committee, and chaired the Knesset Caucus for Regional Cooperation and the parliamentary alliance for religious pluralism and civil equality. During his journalistic career he was chief editor and commentator on international affairs for Israel's military radio (Galei Tzahal), Ha'aretz, and Channel 10 TV. He is known for his documentary films and series about the environment, urbanism and sustainable development. Mr. Horowitz is a lawyer and chairs the public council of the Israeli Society for International Development (SID).
