Dr. Gabriel Mitchell is a Senior Policy Fellow at the Mitvim Institute for Regional Foreign Policies and a Visiting Fellow at the German Marshall Fund. His work focuses on energy security, connectivity, and the geopolitics of the Eastern Mediterranean. Based in Jerusalem and with over a decade of engagement across diplomatic and commercial circles in the Middle East and beyond, he bridges the gap between energy statecraft and private sector strategy – participating in senior regional forums, cultivating cross-sector relationships, and producing analysis that helps governments and commercial actors navigate an increasingly contested energy landscape. His work and commentary have appeared in the New York Times, Al-Monitor, Foreign Policy, War on the Rocks, Ha’aretz, the Jerusalem Post, and other leading policy and international affairs outlets. He also serves as Director of Undergraduate Studies at the University of Notre Dame’s academic center in Jerusalem.
