all posts by Reef ItzhakiReef Itzhaki is the Director of Impact at Mitvim – The Israeli Institute for Regional Foreign Policies. In this role, he leads the development and advancement of strategic partnerships with policymakers, diplomats, and civil society actors, to promote Mitvim’s policy objectives. He is responsible for translating the Institute’s research into public and political impact through digital campaigns, strategic collaborations, and parliamentary engagement.
Reef has extensive experience at the intersection of foreign policy, civil society, and public diplomacy. He was involved in the development of Democrisis, an initiative aimed at strengthening Israeli-European democracy, and has participated in regional and international forums such as Euromed Young Researchers Lab, ISPI NEXT Forum, and various strategic dialogues with partners from Europe, the Middle East, and North Africa.
Reef holds a BA in Political Science and Communication from Tel Aviv University and an MA in European Studies from Heinrich Heine University in Düsseldorf. His master’s thesis explored how European students perceive the EU as a normative power toward neighboring countries. Alongside his academic and policy work, Reef has been active in a range of civic and political initiatives, including public diplomacy with StandWithUs and social policy initiatives with 121 – Engine for Social Change.
