all posts by Dr. Lior LehrsDr. Lior Lehrs is a Policy Fellow at Mitvim as well as a Research Fellow at the Leonard Davis Institute for International Relations at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. He holds a Ph.D. in International Relations from the Hebrew University and was a Postdoctoral Fellow at New York University, as well as a visiting scholar at the School of Advanced International Studies at Johns Hopkins University. Lior was previously the Director of the Israeli-Palestinian Peacemaking Program at Mitvim. Also, he was researcher at the Jerusalem Institute for Policy Research, where he focused on the topic of Jerusalem within Israeli-Palestinian peace negotiations, the neighborhoods in East Jerusalem and conflicts in holy sites. His research topics include theory and history of conflicts, peace, diplomacy, and foreign policy, and he works on various conflict areas, such as the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, Northern Ireland, Cyprus and the Balkans. He has published articles in journals such as International Affairs, International Studies Quarterly, Cooperation and Conflict, and Middle East Journal. His forthcoming book Unofficial Peace Diplomacy: Private Peace Entrepreneurs in Conflict Resolution Processes, will be published in 2022 by Manchester University Press.
