Gabriel Mitchell is a Policy Fellow at the Mitvim Institute and a PhD candidate in Government & International Affairs at Virginia Tech University. His research focuses on the relationship between energy security and the formation of Israeli foreign policy, international maritime law, and regional politics in the Eastern Mediterranean. Gabriel was selected as a 2017-2018 SAFE Energy Security Fellow, and was previously a research fellow at Hudson Institute in Washington, D.C., and Shalem College in Jerusalem. Between 2016 and 2018, Gabriel served as Mitvim’s representative in Washington DC. His areas of expertise include contemporary Turkish politics, Israel-Iran relations, US foreign policy, and Israel-Diaspora relations.
