all posts by Yael PatirYael is a senior director and advisor with over 20 years of experience in public policy, international relations and strategic communication. In her previous roles, Yael advised the European Union Delegation to Israel (2024) and served as Chief of Staff and Senior Diplomatic Advisor to Israeli Minister for Regional Cooperation, Mr. Esawi Frej (2021-2022). She was also the Executive Director of J Street Israel (2012-2020), and served as the Director of the Department for Civil Leadership at the Shimon Peres Center for Peace and Innovation (2006-2012), where she co-directed the Palestinian-Israeli Peace NGO Forum. Yael is active in multiple efforts to promote civic equity, democracy, and peace in Israel and the region. She sits on the board of the Israel Women’s Network, Israel’s most established feminist organization, as well as on the board of Mitvim, the Israeli Institute for Regional Foreign Policies. Yael holds a Master’s Degree in Public Policy and a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology, Anthropology, and Political Science, both from Tel Aviv University. Married to Boaz and mother to Michael and Tamara.
