Speaking to University World News, Dr Moran Zaga, a researcher of the Gulf States at the University of Haifa in Israel, said: “The UAE’s decision reflects a widely shared international position that recognises Israeli universities as legitimate academic institutions that contribute to science, innovation, and global knowledge.
“From the Emirati perspective, conflict resolution is pursued through dialogue rather than academic boycotts. This is a principle embedded in the spirit of the Abraham Accords and its preference for diplomatic engagement,” said Zaga.
