Gil Murciano, the head of Mitvim, a foreign policy think-tank in Israel warns: “In private all the politicians are aware that the next prime minister, assuming it’s not Mr Netanyahu, will have to immediately start addressing the situations in Gaza, Lebanon and Syria. The alternative will be Israel becoming a pariah state.”
