all posts by Kim NoachKim is a PhD candidate in the Department of Politics and Government at Ben-Gurion University of the Negev. Her research focuses on the rising political power of cities in the global and national arenas, with an emphasis on environmental and climate issues. She views local government as a key player capable of paving the way for significant actions at the national and international levels, and believes that local authorities in Israel have the potential to promote peace and security both within the country and beyond. Kim holds a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in History and History of International Relations from the Hebrew University and the London School of Economics and Political Science. In the past, she worked at the Israel Democracy Institute in the Reform and Innovation in the Public Service program; developed the Climate and Security program at the Institute for National Security Studies, where she also served as a professional assistant to the head of the institute; and worked in the Political Department of the Israeli Embassy in Paris.
