Zaki brings extensive political experience—he participated in negotiations that led to the Geneva Initiative and served as its spokesperson upon its signing. He also held the position of Vice President of the International Union of Socialist Youth (IUSY) alongside Jacinda Ardern. Zaki was the founding director of B’Tselem USA, an organization based in Washington, D.C., that worked to incorporate human rights into the political discourse surrounding the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
His past roles include serving as an advisor to the Minister of Justice, Director of the Zionist Enterprises Division at the World Zionist Organization, and Chairman of the Herzl Center in Jerusalem. Zaki holds an LL.B. from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, an LL.M. from the College of Management Academic Studies, and is an alumnus of the Human Rights Training Program at the European University Institute in Florence.
Zaki is a prominent speaker in both Israeli and international media, frequently appearing on television and publishing opinion articles in the written press.
