Research Intern – Gaza Education Rehabilitation Project
The Mitvim Institute – The Israeli Institute for Regional Foreign Policies is seeking a Research Intern to support a policy research project examining the rehabilitation and future development of the education system in Gaza.
The intern will work closely with the project’s lead researcher and Project Manager, supporting expert interviews, research documentation, and the synthesis of findings into policy-relevant insights.
Main Responsibilities
• Identify and help coordinate interviews with relevant education experts and stakeholders, including educators, academics, NGO professionals, and international organizations.
• Schedule and prepare for interviews, including background materials and interview agendas.
• Prepare detailed interview notes and documentation.
• Support transcription and translation of relevant Arabic-language material into English.
• Produce concise summaries of individual interviews and contribute to a cross-interview synthesis.
• Help identify key themes, findings, and policy-relevant insights emerging from the research.
Qualifications
We are looking for a candidate with:
• Strong research, analytical, and writing skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to synthesize qualitative information clearly and concisely.
• Strong English proficiency.
• Arabic proficiency is a significant advantage.
• Interest in education policy, humanitarian affairs, reconstruction, Palestinian affairs, or regional policy.
• Ability to work independently and coordinate professionally with experts and stakeholders.
Graduate students and advanced undergraduate students in relevant fields are encouraged to apply.

• Period: 6 September – 15 October 2026
• Format: Flexible / primarily remote
• Compensation: The internship is unpaid. Pre-approved project-related expenses will be reimbursed.
